RU creates strategic partnerships with organizations to pool resources and develop customised residency environments. This collaborative approach fosters flexibility and versatility to better reflect the needs of RU’s artists and curators in residence. In some cases, residents will navigate between RU and other venues in New York to produce and present their work. Resources include a variety of studio and gallery spaces as well as access to both broader communities and specialized audiences.

Working since 2009 with a group of core partners, RU continues to expand its network of collaborating institutions in the United States and abroad.
