The series of 6 drawings and 1 sculpture presented at the Silvestre galeria in Madird, are a selection of the most recent work by Sara Bichão.
My Sun Cries, shares the artist solitary vision upon Existence, flowing in mediative cadency – as in a state of immolation. Memory roots are intersected with an abstract imaginary – that is where the language unfolds.
For Bichão, if the drawings perpetuate the fragility of a poetical composition; the sculpture reveals time – ours, the artist’s – but also the one of the creative process.
