Bio/Statement:
Enxhi Mehmeti is the winning artist of the 2021 Artist of Tomorrow Award in Prishtina, Kosovo.
In her drawings, sound and assemblage works, the artist conjures the phantastic happening around her which she enjoys making visible for others through various artistic techniques, and requiring in her own words, “patience and affection”. Her works possess a certain intimacy and fragility that convey a powerful presence in their expressions of human and non-human forms which in certain instances merge into new, fantastical identities.
