Partick Rowe – Conversations Across Cultures: Artists as Educators ending today!

Patrick Rowe’s ongoing project Mobile Print Power has been included in an exhibit entitled “ArtistsasEducators” at Teachers College, Columbia University. The show runs until April 18 with a reception on April 11 from 5-7pm.

On April 25th, Patrick Rowe will be presenting my work as part of a panel at “Latin@ Cultural Studies at CUNY: Past Present and Future” a conference hosted by LaGuardia Community College, on a panel with several workshop leaders from Immigrant Movement International. The presentation will go from 3:30 – 4:30pm.

This May, Mobile Print Power will be participating in Open Engagement “an international conference that sets out to explore various perspectives on art and social practice”. Open Engagement will take place at the Queens Museum May 16, 17, and 18th. For OE, Mobile Print Power will host a weekend of silkscreen printmaking on the walkway that surrounds the Unisphere. Activities will include a Tote Bag Intervention in collaboration with the artist collective Guestwork. This fun and engaging project will demonstrate how Mobile Print Power provides a unique model for socially cooperative art practice.
