The exhibition focuses on the Rua 25 de Março – an emblematic street in the São Paulo city center – is known for its competitive prices. There one will find a strikingly wide range of goods starting from R$1,00 (one Brazilian Real). Counterfeit products are the greatest preoccupation for the authorities- although in prison since 2007, the Chinese businessman Law is still said to be in charge of the pirated goods spread throughout the shops and stalls. When walking down 25 de Março, one will frequently hear the following question being repeated: “É do Law?” (Is it from Law?).
