Claudio Zecchi, lecture and talk at Ecole du Magasin in Grenoble

Claudio Zecchi will be giving a lecture and a talk at Ecole du Magasin in Grenoble on July 8 and 9, 2016.

CONVERSATION WITH CLAUDIO ZECCHI
Performative Practices In A Fragile Environment

The artist, the curator and the institutions, but also the public, each animate relationships in different, or only apparently different, fields of action. They have been witnessing, over the recent years, an interaction between practices – for instance, artists, collectives, and activists – that have significantly smoothed the border between the fields of action, making it almost invisible.

In such a context, what is the role of the arts within society? What role do artists, curators and institutions play? Finally, what is their relation with the public, and what is its role?

Claudio Zecchi, born in 1978 in Priverno, Italy, is an independent curator whose eld of research aims to investigate new visions and reading of the urban and social space.
