The aim of the BAL autumn seminar at EHESS is to explore the challenges of the contemporary image and to understand in all its diversity the notion of visual “document”. Each subject gives rise to theoretical contributions, presentations and analyzes of works by renowned artists, philosophers, historians and anthropologists based on selected examples from the fields of photography, video and film. For its tenth edition, the autumn seminary of the BAL at the EHESS addresses the problem of the times of the image.
Marie de Brugerolle, art historian and curator, will present “Western”, on October 22 at 2pm.
