Jorge Mazzini is a Filmmaker and Cinematographer/DP who explores an experimental documentary style with short films, shot mostly on Super 8mm and 16mm film. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mazzini lived for eight years in Buenos Aires where he realized many short films including Esto es Solaridad which was selected in 2011 to premier at the New York New Filmmakers festival.
Besides working as a freelance videographer and photographer in New York City, he documents live music, performance, interviews and art pieces by different local artists/ Mazzini also works as the assistant/videographer for sculptor David Altmejd. He also teaches introductory 16mm filmmaking workshops for the cinema/arts non- profit, MONO NO AWARE.
