Bio/Statement:
Gabriela is a curator and art historian whose research interests span across Contemporary and Latin American Art. She is the Director of NG Art Gallery, a contemporary art gallery based in Panama City, Panama. With its international presence at art fairs, biennials, and alliances with institutions, NG promotes creative experimentation through exhibitions, public educational programs, residencies, and multidisciplinary experiences of its artists on a global scale.
Since opening its doors, it has been home to a diverse list of contemporary artists, both emerging and established, balanced in manifestations and genres. Its extensive variety of exhibitions has addressed topics of all kinds, ranging from aspects of immediate daily life to the most existential problems. NG has also been growing in the publishing field with NG Ediciones, a project responsible for the publication and distribution of personal catalogs for several of its artists and exhibitions.
