Bio/Statement:
Audrée Anid is a Lebanese-American mixed-media artist and independent curator with experience in both the commercial and nonprofit arts sector of New York City. Audrée was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and grew up in the Bronx and is now based in Brooklyn. In 2018, she co-founded RATA Projects, an independent curatorial initiative aimed at supporting and showcasing emerging artists. Audrée is currently an Associate Director at James Cohan Gallery in New York where she has curated several exhibitions including “Borders” in January 2019, works by Nam June Paik, and exhibitions by the Palestinian-American artist Jordan Nassar. While at the gallery, she has facilitated and overseen various free interdisciplinary public programs including artist talks, discussions with contemporary writers and critics, and musical performances. Upcoming curatorial projects at James Cohan Gallery include the Winter 2021 group exhibition and a solo exhibition by Delhi-based artist Gauri Gill opening in October 2021.
