In 2016, DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] (Laura Arena, Founder/Director), and Residency Unlimited (RU) launched their partnership with a series of exhibitions hosted by DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] in their exhibition space in Red Hook.
In November 2016, solo exhibition Hesitations 2 , featured drawings by Young Visual Artist Awardee from Serbia Nina Simonović that accompanied by the jazz trio: Brooklyn/ Berlin based Devin Gray (Drums/ Percussion), Nathaniel Morgan (Alto Saxophone) and Chris Welcome (Electronics) created an audiovisual experience based in improvisation. The exhibition was curated by Nataša Prljević, Artist/Curator and Assistant to Executive Director at RU.
In May 2017, evening of performances by three 2016 Young Visual Artist Awardees (YVAA) /RU artists: the art duo Dardan Zhegrova / Lola Sylaj (Kosovo) and Mark Požlep (Slovenia). Curated by Boshko Boshkovic, RU Program Director and Nataša Prljević, Artist/Curator and Assistant to Executive Director at RU.

The artistic arm of DE-CONSTRUKT Design, DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] develops projects with local and international artists that support the cross pollination of ideas and experimentation among cultural diverse artists and audiences. The program includes an artist in residency, darkroom and studio rental.
Artists have opportunity to produce new works individually or collaboratively, with a focus on experimentation. DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] provides space to create temporary work and encourages the formation of new networks. Our interest is in the process rather than final outcomes. We serve to support new ideas and new ways of expression to share with the local community at large and abroad.
