The group exhibition featuring works by grant holders who occupy themselves in the broadest sense with Dada in a contemporary manner shows a wide range of different genres. Sculptural space installations enter into dialogues with collages, overpaintings, found objects, photographs and videos. In the process, gestures of Dada with its will to renew traditional bourgeois ideals along are explored with connections between art and everyday life. Some sculptures for example take up Jean Arp’s formal vocabulary and create objects suggesting a possible activation on the part of the viewers. The poem by the Dadaist Hugo Ball, a native of the Rhineland-Palatinate region, serves as the motto for the exhibition in which food for thought and surprises are presented through a wide variety of diverse works.
