BIO/ STATEMENT:
Working in various media and formats, Rasmus Høj Mygind’s practice oscillate between the use of ready made(-ish) objects and a subjective expression through classical artistic platforms, painting, sculpture and collage – often in a manner somewhat unusual or unexpected to the selected medium. Besides his artistic practice Rasmus is also co-director of the artist-run exhibition space TOVES in Copenhagen (tovesgalleri.net).
Upcoming and current solo exhibitions include: PVCntings & Suggestions 4 Bronzes, 3D, Henningsen Gallery, Copenhagen; Rasmus Høj Mygind, Ringsted Galleriet, Ringsted. In 2013, Rasmus’ work was included in ‘Collapse’, 2 man show w. Magnus Pettersen, Peter Amby Gallery, Copenhagen. In 2013, selected group shows include: “Dear Sirs” , IMO projects, Copenhagen (with TOVES); “Some Objects are More Equal than Others” , IAC, Malmø, Sweden (curated by Mikkel Carl); “24 Spaces” (w. Toves), Malmø Konsthall, Malmø. His work has also been featured among others at at BKS Garage, Copenhagen, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen, Accademia Di Danimarca, Rome.
