Aseman Sabet has a Master in art history and is currently working on a Ph.D. on the dialogue of the senses and synesthesia in the aesthetic discourse of the 18th century. She also works as an independent curator and writes for different publications in contemporary art. In 2011, she curated the exhibition En obscurité at Galerie Les Territoires (Montreal), focusing on darnkess as a primary material for creating, and not just for surrounding, works of art. She is now directing her research on the resurgence of the tactility in contemporary art. She lives and works in Montreal.
