Featuring RU artist Nate Hester in the RU voices interview series 🎤
Nate’s trans-disciplinary work (drawings, projected animations, textiles, ceramics, immersive installations of household ephemera, tags, and interactive encounters) explores the charming if disquieting incongruities of the places, communities and bodies to which we all yearn to belong.
His exhibition“House of Confluence: Far and Near” was showcased at the RU House in Governors Island.
We met him at RU HQ in Carroll Gardens to speak about his residency, his exhibitions and his creative process. We are thrilled to present our artists in residence through intimate interviews and inspiring conversations about them, their works and the city!
