Featuring RU artist in residence Paula Malinowska in the RU voices interview series 🎤
YVAA artist Paula Malinowska one of the 2024 laureates of the Oskar Čepan Award for contemporary art in Slovakia. She is a digital artist and photographer based in Bratislava and her artistic practice includes CGI audiovisual works, 3D graphics, animation and 3D printing techniques. Her artistic research is based on studies in the field of biology, climatology or the development of digital technologies. Working with elements of fantasy and fiction, her work explores the mutual relationship between science and myth, the rational and the intuitive, in the hope of connecting them.
The group exhibition, “House of Confluence: Living Room Portfolio”, featuring Paula’s work, was recently on view at the RU House on Governors Island. We had the immense pleasure of meeting her to discuss her residency!
