Ace Hotel and Residency Unlimited (RU) are presenting Artist Brunch Chats, a series of intimate and low key discussions in the Ace Hotel New York Lobby Bar. These open-format meetings serves as a dedicated time and place for artists to engage with new communities, old friends, and everyone in between.
At this occasion, the Turkish artist Özgür Demirci will engage with the audience about civil and political disobedience in recent years in İstanbul and New York. The discussion will be followed by the workshop “Memory Refresh” during whıch the artist and guests will share their visual memories and experiences captured on social media.
Anyone is welcome to pop in, the meet up will take place around some couches by the photobooth. Our friends at The Breslin Bar and Dining Room are providing coffee, you provide the conversation. No microphones or stages; just people who love art sharing spacetime.
This program benefits from the generous support of Ace Hotel as well as ArteEast.
