At 4pm, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Jodi Waynberg with the artists.
Please join us for Liminal Inversions, a one-day exhibition presenting recent work of RU artists-in-residence Yan Gi Cheng, Lucia Stráňaiová, and Yann Pocreau. Each artists’ fundamental treatment of subjects – dissolving structures, black and white landscapes, artificially captured natural light – offer us an impression of reality that exists, at once, outside and within the senses. The work presented in Liminal Inversions moves towards an abstraction of time and place, each containing a point where reality is transformed beyond reason.
Liminal Inversions is a curatorial proposal by Jodi Waynberg, co-Director of Artists Alliance Inc.
This program is supported in part by Le Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (CALQ), and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic
