We are very proud to learn that RU Alumni Joana Escoval is on of the 9 finalists for the New Artists EDP Foundation Prize
The choice of the nine artists for this edition of the New Artists EDP Foundation prize, from a total of 762 applications, was made by a commission consisting of Filipa Oliveira and Sérgio Mah, both independent curators, and John Pinharanda, artistic programmer EDP Foundation.
Finalists are invited to present their works in a group exhibition that opens on June 19 at the Museum of Electricity in Lisbon. The winner will be chosen by an international jury (still to be identified), receiving a prize of 20,000 euros, to be applied by the artist in deepening their studies or in delivering a specific art project.
