Zhiheng Ashely Zhang is a curator, researcher, and writer based in New York. Her work explores the intersections of art and technology, socially engaged practices, and underrepresented artist communities. Rooted in materiality, spatial dynamics, and audience engagement, her curatorial approach seeks to deepen the connection between artworks, their environments, and the public.
She was previously a Curator-in-Residence at Residency Unlimited (RU) and has also served as the Gallery Director and Curator at Sojourner Gallery. Her curatorial projects have been presented internationally, including in New York, Beijing, and Tokyo. In addition to her curatorial work, Zhang writes bilingually for a range of media outlets across the U.S. and China.
