RU voices with Noa Renert-Domniz (residency: July – September 2024)

Featuring RU artist in residence Noa Renert-Domniz in the RU voices interview series šŸŽ¤

Noaā€™s work explores the nature of vulnerability and addresses what it means to be ā€œat homeā€, both in the physical architectural space and in oneā€™s body. Her interest in the concept of home stems from having resided in three different continents and having moved often throughout her life. In exploring the subtlety of ā€œhomeā€, she continuously questions what makes the physical space around oneā€™s body a home. Noa works with the domestic and mundane, taking interest in moments of contemplation, reflection, sleep, and solitude.

The group exhibition, ā€œHouse of Confluence: Living Room Portfolioā€, featuring Noaā€™s work, was recently on view at the RU House on Governors Island. We had the immense pleasure of meeting her to discuss her residency!

We are thrilled to present our artists in residence through intimate interviews which delve into their character, works and relationship with this awe inspiring city!
