Caroline Lang (elected in 2010) is the founder and principal of Caroline Lang Fine Arts, based in Geneva. With 39 years at Sotheby’s, she built one of the most distinguished careers in the international auction world; rising from specialist to Managing Director of Sotheby’s Geneva in 2004, Chairman of Sotheby’s Switzerland in 2012, and Vice-Chairman of Sotheby’s Europe in 2015, before leaving the firm in 2025 to establish her independent practice.
An auctioneer and recognised expert in Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary Art, Caroline founded her advisory with a clear purpose: to offer collectors the kind of candid, unbiased counsel that is increasingly rare in today’s art market.
