Eligibility: All artists must be over the age of 21 and not enrolled in any school or program during the time of the residency. Artists are required to submit: Statement of Intent/Project Proposal (500 words) Artist Statement (500 words) Artist CV 10 images (up to 5mb each, 300 dpi is recommended) List of Work (stating title, materials, dimensions, date)
Support: 3 Months Shared Studio access to Bulls Ferry Studios, Artistic stipend of $1200, public artist talk or workshop, Group show and open studio event, Guest Critics, publicity in print and web based media

Applications for both Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 residencies will be due on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at Midnight.

ARTIST PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS:
Artist in Resident participants are expected make a serious commitment to the program for the entire three-month session and to utilize the studio actively and consistently (on average artists are in the studio 20 hours per week). In addition, artists are required to give an public artist talk or teach one public workshop. It is vital to the success of the program that Artist in Resident participants fully take advantage of the unique resources we are able to provide. For this reason, Artist in Resident participants cannot simultaneously participate in another residency or degree-granting program while participating in Guttenberg Arts Space and Time Artist Residency.
Guttenberg Arts is housed in Bulls Ferry Studios. Bulls Ferry Studios is a 4,500 square foot facility includes common areas for painting, drawing, and 2-D arts, as well as two etching presses (18” x 48” Craft Tool & 30” x 50” Charles Brand), two litho presses (24” x 36” Fuchs and Lang & 30x48" Elephant), letterpress and silkscreen facilities for four-color fabric or paper printing and drying. Bulls Ferry has a ventilated acid room for intaglio process and a silkscreen exposure unit for 24”x 36” screens with washout located in a light safe room. Designated individual work tables, supply storage, and flat file drawers ring the light filled studio.
3-D facilities include an outdoor sculpture area and a dedicated ceramics studio equipped with two pottery wheels, a slab roller, sculpture stands, and two electric barrel kilns (24”x 30” & 24” x 24”).
Bulls Ferry Studios’ rotational exhibition space offers residents the opportunity to show completed works to patrons and visitors. Bulls Ferry Studios is ADA accessible, climate controlled, and wi-fi equipped.
