Program Description:

The Holes in the Wall Collective Creative Residency Program invites people across disciplines to engage with their practice and share collective space.

Housed on the 29 acre Art in the Fields property in rural Pennsylvania, the Holes in the Wall Cabin is a place to delve in, to regroup, to focus, and to change your narrative.

Holes in the Wall Collective strives to expand the notion of creativity beyond the more defined forms of creative practice- expanding our residency to those working in science, policy, economics, education, activism, pedagogy, technology, etc.

Big projects. Small Projects. Collaborations. Solo work.

This January 15th-19th 2017, in the days leading up to inauguration, Holes in the Wall would like to invite you to come engage in your creative practice held loosely within the Frame Work: Undercurrents.

The pulse. The ebb and flow. Grassroots and tree roots. Sewers and subways. The ideas that remain/ the enduring themes beneath the changing fashions. As a Trump presidency looms, fear and fascism are coming out of the woodwork. But so is the bedrock of collective action, solidarity and the reckoning of true US histories. Join us for this residency session in an exploration and a listening to our social undercurrents.

With ample time to focus on your practice, Frame Work weeks begin with a group dinner provided by Holes in the Wall and a discussion on the topic. The time ending with an optional group sharing of the week’s reflections and/or your work.

Each participant will have a private room with work space, use of kitchen and access to the grounds- woods, fields and a pond, for walks and reflection.
The winter is white here.

Where else can you sit by the fireplace and call it work.
